The Sauti Za Boma program is an extension of the Kenya International Theatre Festival (KITFest) audioplay masterclass and residency programs conducted in 2022 and 2023. This initiative aims to transfer knowledge from previously trained audio play artists to new artists and build new audio play skills by training artists from marginalized communities outside the capital city. These artists will learn to narrate their unique stories in their local contexts, languages, and cultures.

Kenya Cultural Centre incorporating the Kenya National Theatre in partnership with the Kenya International Theatre Festival Trust with support from the Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund (SASDF) is pleased to announce capacity building and competition, ‘County Theatre Fiesta’, for grassroot theatre companies / groups in the following counties; Mombasa, Kiambu, Embu, Nakuru, Kisumu and Uasin Gishu. County Theatre Fiesta is being implemented through the government’s Talanta Hela Initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports. Talanta Hela is geared towards monetizing both the Sports and the Creative industries by identifying, nurturing, and creating opportunities for different talents across the country.
Kenya Cultural Centre together with the Kenya High Commission in London are proud to present the Inaugural Exhibition of Contemporary Kenyan Art in London, themed Kenyan Artists: Visions & Possibilities, culminating in the Jamuhuri Day Celebrations in early December. The exhibition aims to support the professional development of young underrepresented Kenyan visual artists while positioning Kenya as a global contender in contemporary visual arts.
